Sabbatical Homes Ltd have been letting private homes for over 21 years. Our typical Landlord is either an academic or professional who works either permanently or for short periods of time outside the UK, and wishes to let their home to like-minded individuals.
All our properties must be fully furnished, have a working internet connection, and be ready for prospective tenants to move in.
Our tenants arrive just with their clothes, laptops and books. Therefore, everything else must be provided by the Landlord.

Our focus is on servicing the needs of senior academics, principal artistes of the Royal Opera House and the English National Opera.
While we do have a few tenants who do not fit within our targeted clientele, generally speaking most of our tenants are from the world of academia.

Sabbatical Homes Property Management Services takes care on behalf of the Landlord all maintenance issues relating to the property. Even the most cared for properties have problems which can and do occur during the rental period.
Some Landlords have family and friends living nearby who don’t mind being on standby anytime of the day or night, but in the main family and friends don’t want the responsibility of looking after other peoples homes and dealing with tenants, so our personal property management service is designed to make both Landlord and Tenant comfortable throughout the lettings period.
From experience things mainly go wrong late at night, on a weekend. Where possible we remain in contact with out tenants on a 24/7 basis, and attempt to solve problems as quickly as possible.
While we have a ‘black book’ of tradesmen and service providers, where the Landlord has their own preferred tradesman, we will call them out and check that problems fixed in a timely manner.
Many insurance companies now require empty properties to be checked every 30 days, in those instances we can provide an “vacant property” checking service for a small time charge.

Sabbatical Homes provides a full property refurbishment service to clients wishing to redecorate, update or re-model their property. From arranging all service trades, to design and build, fit out and furnishing, payment of contractors, maintaining project accounts
Sabbatical Homes can manage the whole project from start to finish .
The cost for this service is 10% plus VAT of the total cost of the work carried out.
While Sabbatical Homes is totally focussed on the letting of privately owned properties to the academic community and principal artists in the arts, Sabbatical Homes plans to Introduce two new services to its clients at the end of 2014.
Capital Homestays will focus on Post Graduate Students and Professional Businessman coming to the UK to study for various periods of time. The accommodation we will be offering, will come from third party providers, and will include flat sharing as well as living with families.
Capital Concierge will provide a variety of services both to private individuals and to corporate clients. Services will include Hotel Accommodation bookings, Travel Related Services, Restaurant and Event Booking Services, Accounts and Book Keeping Services.
